In an era of accelerating geopolitical shifts and growing concern over technology sovereignty, the Czech Hub in Taiwan and the Research Institute for Democracy, Society and Emerging Technology (DSET) will co-host a drones forum “Partnering for Resilience: The Future of the Drone Supply Chain” on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 16:30.
The event will spotlight emerging opportunities for strategic cooperation between Taiwan and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) in shaping a secure and diversified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) ecosystem.
UAVs are transforming industries across defense, surveillance, logistics, and agriculture. Yet, the global drone supply chain remains heavily concentrated, raising concerns over national security, intellectual property theft, and technological dependence.
Amid tightening export controls, growing cyber threats, and rising concerns over technology sovereignty, Taiwan emerges as a critical partner. With its strengths in electronics, propulsion can play a pivotal role in collaborative efforts to diversify and strengthen drone value chains, systems, and software innovation-including fleet management and Al applications -Taiwan can play a pivotal role in collaborative efforts to difersify and strenghten drone value chains.
This event brings together stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and the security community from Taiwan and CEE to examine policy tools, industrial cooperation models, and geopolitical considerations essential for fostering a resilient and trusted UAV ecosystem.
