Janet Zhenrong Gan

Dr. Janet Zhen-Rong Gan is a practical ethics researcher specializing in AI ethics, machine ethics, and AI governance. She is currently a research fellow and the leader of the AI unit at the Research Institute for Democracy, Society, and Emerging Technology (DSET) in Taiwan. Dr. Gan received her B.S. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from Chung Cheng University, focusing her research on practical ethics and the philosophical theories of human rights and international justice. Her contributions to the field include publications in SSCI, IEEE, and TSSCI/THCI journals and popular science articles on AI and research ethics.
