Dr. Jiunn-Rong Chiou is a professor in the Department of Economics at National Central University and also serves as the Chair of the Smart Mobility Association Taiwan (SMAT). He has held various positions including the Deputy Minister of the National Development Council of the Executive Yuan, Department Chair of Economics and Associate Dean of the College of Management at National Central University, Dean and President of Takming University of Science and Technology, Associate Professor, Professor and Chair in the Department of Industrial Economics at Tamkang University, Visiting Professor in the Department of International Business and Trade at Soochow University, Executive Director and Secretary-General of the Taiwan Economic Association, Committee Member of the National Financial Stabilization Fund Committee, Examiner for the Higher Examination of the Examination Yuan, Higher Education Evaluation Committee Member, Municipal Advisor for Taipei City Government, Research, Development and Evaluation Commission Member for Taichung City Government and Taoyuan City Government, Advisor to Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, Director of the Youth Platform Foundation, Consultative Committee Member and Executive Committee Member of the Taiwan Thinktank, and Committee Member of the Higher Education Employment Program and Dual Track Flagship Training Program of the Ministry of Labor.
