Dr. Kenny Huang has long been involved in global Internet governance policies. He currently serves as the Board Chair of the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), the Chair of the APNIC Executive Council, and the Chair of the ICANN ccPDP4 Working Group on Country Code Policy. Dr. Huang is also the author of IETF RFC3743, a core standard of the Internet.
In the field of public policy, Dr. Huang holds several positions: he is a member of Whole-of-Society Defense Resilience Committee, member of the Executive Yuan’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Task Force, member of the Citizen Advisory Committee for the Smart Nation Task Force under the Executive Yuan, auditor of information security for the Executive Yuan, investment evaluation committee member for the National Development Fund, advisory committee member for the High Prosecutors Office Computer Crime Prevention Center, technology policy advisor for the National Science and Technology Council, committee member for the Universal Service Fund for Telecommunications, advisory committee member for the International Cooperation and Development Fund, an advisory committee member for the National Center for High-performance Computing, and an adjunct assistant professor at the School of Law and Technology at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
