Shawn Sun is a Ph.D. student in the Engineering Education at Virginia Tech, with a B.A. in Sociology and a M.S. in Geography from National Taiwan University. His current research focuses on the global comparative study of high-ed systems related to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors, engineering ethics among China, the US and Taiwan, and transnational engineering talent and their mobility.
