DSET Established Partnership with Czech Think Tanks

The National Science and Technology Council’s “Research Institute for Democracy, Society, and Emerging Technologies” (DSET) project coordinated by The Center for Innovative Democracy (CID), led by Director Du Wen-Ling and Deputy Director Lien Hsien-Ming, visited the Czech Republic from November 21st to 27th, 2023, for international think tank exchanges.

During this exchange, DSET successfully established close cooperative relationships with several think tanks, including Sinopsis and SCRC, engaging in in-depth discussions on the mutual impact of geopolitics and technological development. The discussions particularly focused on the interconnections in the semiconductor, net-zero, and military-civil dual-use technologies, enhancing Taiwan’s research and impact on European affairs while building a robust international cooperation mechanism.

DSET members took a commemorative photo with Greg C. Bruno, the Senior Media Program Director of the Bakala Foundation (third from the left), and Dr. Martin Hala, the Director of Sinopsis (third from the right).
